Language / Learning Services

CCT is now offering intervention for language / learning disabilities, including: Reading (phonological and phonemic awareness, decoding, comprehension) and written expression utilizing the Six Traits (Ideas and Content, Organization, Voice Word Choice, Sentence Fluency, and Conventions). Some of our speech-language pathologists have received training, and are experienced in providing services utilizing the Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing Program (LiPS), the Wilson Reading System, and Sound Partners, all of which incorporate multi-sensory techniques and principles.

Specific testing is available at CCT for skills of reading. We do not currently do in-depth learning disability assessments at CCT, but can help make referrals to other agencies that do these assessments. An individualized program of intervention at CCT is developed and implemented based on information gathered through parent interview, school report, previous testing and/or specific skill testing.
