Janine Czerniecki, M.S., OTR/L, P.T.
Janine earned a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation, a degree in physical and occupational therapy, from the University of British Columbia (1978) and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Washington (1990). She has experience in developmental centers, child psychiatry, and neonatal intensive care. She has been a partner at Cascade Children's Therapy since 1989. Janine's areas of specialization are in oral motor/feeding problems and medically fragile children. Janine is certified in Neuro-Develomental Therapy, Neuro-Develomental Therapy for Infants, and Sensory Integration Theory and Treatment. In her free time, Janine likes to travel, hike, read, and do fiber art work. Her active family keeps her busy watching (and driving to) hockey, soccer and lacrosse games!
Cyndi Nelson-Allen, OTR/L
Cyndi Nelson-Allen passed away August 8th, 2009, a year after her retirement from Occupational Therapy. She was a gifted therapist who touched many lives with her warmth, playfulness and compassion. She will be missed by us all.
Vicki Schwartz, PT
Vicki graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont in 1976. She has worked in a variety of pediatric settings since then. Vicki has been an owner/partner at Cascade Children's Therapy since it began in 1989. Her areas of specialization are in the treatment of orthopedically impaired children, children with birth defects and children with sensory processing problems. She is especially interested in gait and has explored the use of various kinds of equipment and modalities to maximize the quality of a child's walking pattern and movement ability, including neuromuscular electrical stimulation, kinesiotaping and the LiteGait system. She is NDT certified (1987) and certified in Sensory Integration Theory and Treatment (1983). Outside of the work setting, Vicki enjoys hiking, traveling, and playing games with her family. She loves reading as well as taking long walks with friends.
